Over the past few days, I have been busy reorganizing my blog. Putting key topic areas into pages rather than having them as blog posts. This saw a number of my posts (which were taking up space) moved to heading over on the right side of this page.
Under each page, you will find links to other resources that I have found useful. As I go through my numerous saved links, more will be added or if I find some are no longer working they will be removed.
Please be sure to come back often to check what I have added. If new stuff is added, I will mention it in a blog post first and where it can be found.
I am off for now to continue sorting through all my resources while my newest addition takes a nap.
A collection of resources for various types of teachers to use within any learning environment, whether it be from early childhood up to High School. These resources, I have found rather useful within the classroom. By placing them in one location, I am saving not only myself time, but others as well.

Using Facebook for Networking and Resources
Recently, I started joining groups on Facebook that provide advice and resources for teachers. I have come to find these groups as valuable resources and have joined a number of groups, but have let them become unorganized to the point that I no longer know what groups I belong to or even recall joining them (another thing I let get out of control over the past few years).
Today I decided to create another page, that will be dedicated just to these online Facebook groups. If you have them time, you should check them out as well. Some offer tips on teaching, resume writing and resources that are working in other classrooms.
I have used a number of the resources gathered from these groups in my own lesson plans and as resources for days when I am filling in for an away teacher and require some "filler" work when the students have finished early.

SPRING CLEANING!
As I sat down at my computer this morning to go through some websites to create some lesson plans, I realized that I had been neglecting my own blog. A resource that I had created to help organize the online resources I had already gathered together. This made me realize that we spring clean our homes and classrooms and that I needed to do the same for my resource materials.
I logged into my blog "The Collector: A Teachers Companion" and was ashamed with what I saw. I pride myself on organization and neatness and instill this in my students. I had failed myself! My blog was a complete mess and I let it become that.
You will notice over the next few days that older posts will disappear. These posts are being placed into separate pages for easier access and better organization. I will also be adding in new links and removing older links that are either broken or no longer working.
I have also decided to remove the cheesy dancing mouse... I am no longer in High School and need to be more professional.
Enjoy the new and improved blog for resources.
